Many moons ago, when I was a Library Technician, I worked for a time at McMaster Univesity. While there, I took quite a few university courses. It really bothered me that other highschool friends had gone to university, but I had not. So for all the wrong reasons, I was bound and determined to get my degree in English. I had such romantic, unrealistic notions about what university life was like, and it did not take very long for all those sacred cows to be turned into meatloaf. And so what did I do with this new-found knowledge?
I wrote a silly poem, of course.
Note: This silly poem is just based on some of my past experiences, and does not reflect my overall positive view of university professors as a whole.

Oh, I think I once sat in on a lecture with Dr. Cornflake ... he did look kind of tired and did not have that snap, crackle, and pop that I look for in my Profs. Then I realised that I was in the wrong cereal, oops, I mean class.
Now see what a shiny degree in English can get you - the ability to string together silly cereal puns. Of course not having a degree in English will let you do that also - without the lingering student loans.
Love the poem and the illustrations.

Much to my mother's disappointment, I have not finished my degree. But at least I can finish a poem.

Love them, somewhat Edward Gorey.
The sepia is a nice touch, too.
