TGIF Illustration 7!

The subject for this week's Illustration Friday is metropolitan.
This is an old illo I did a couple years ago, just for fun. I'd say that doggie lives a pretty metropolitan life, wouldn't you?
Any hoo-how, back to work. I'm illustrating my third little children's book!
I Love!!! it. I'm somewhat of a dog nut, and this is very similar to the idea I got out of bed last night to jot down! Hopefully it will be up tonight or tomorrow night...I've been lax and now late for a while on IF.

Wow, Danielle, you sure commented fast! I had barely posted that pic when I saw your comment. Thanks for the kind words, and hurry up and post your illo!

Did you know that there is a hotel for dogs on the West Side of Manhattan where the dogs snooze on sofas in front of the TV?
There's a day-care center for dogs - all right, a spa - nearby on First Avenue. Passers-by - especially passers-by with dogs - linger on the railing and watch. The environment is back yard/high school gym. I think that the West Side place has the right idea. Metropolitan dogs prefer to stay indoors.

Thanks, Scully! My second children's book will hopefully come out in September. That one involves lots of glue and a cat (hee hee).
I'm not sure when the third one should come out; hopefully by the end of the year.

I'm a big fan of your work, too. Just thought I'd say so, too, instead of just being a quiet lurker. :-)
