Ooooo I've Been a Naughty Reader

More salacious literary delights!
Mr. Edward Champion, proprietor of the witty and wonderful blog Return of the Reluctant, has got a great idea. He has created the first Annual Naughty Reading Photo Contest. Says Mr. Champion:
What we would like our readers to do is send us your visual approximation of what naughty reading is. Naughty readers do not have to be exclusively female ... So have at it, naughty book lovers, academics and librarians alike! Show the world right now that reading is sexy and salacious!
Yeah, baby!! Ed is my kinda guy. 'Cuz if there's one thing I know for sure, it's that reading is sexy! So why not give it a whirl? Deadline is August 31; check out that link for all the contest details, and get naughty!
Oh, and if you wanna see that entire pic above, which yes, is my entry, go here. I'm sure a lot of you can get way naughtier than me!
This is one great photograph. Naughty? I'd say that it captures a great longing. Now you'll tell me that you were thinking of deadlines...

Yes, it's not really that naughty I know, but it was all I had. I don't have a digital camera yet, so I just dug up the best I could find. I suppose it's somewhat naughty because I'm actually naked from the waist up, but obviously you can't be sure of that in the photo (otherwise my husband would have my head on a platter, and besides, I have no desire to show that part of myself at this stage in my life!)
It was for a book-art related project I was working on when I was still in design school. And yes, I was trying to convey a sense of longing. Perceptive as always, RJ.
Photo credit, of course, goes to the hubby.

I love it!

Ah, the fun I could have. But, alas, I stopped shooting porn a long time ago...(pstorms, remember that night at my place on the Danforth when, somehow, you got me into fishnets and took pictures of me. I think a toilet bowl was involved in that shoot somehow as well.
Ok, I'm off topic now...

Oh yeah, kSmut, how could I forget? I had you kissing that freaky man/monster/doll thing while you pranced in your fishnets. And just remember, I still have those photos....
Ahhh.... good times. Hey! I could submit that pic of you sitting on the toilet reading the fetish mag! Now THAT is naughty reading!

Ooh la la! So which book is that, by the way? Not a lawnmower repair manual, I'm guessing.

Ha ha. Actually, Pete, it's one of the few books that I have made by hand. That's how deep my passion is, baby.
I have this dream of one day making an entire book by hand (maybe even the paper) and also writing and illustrating the story inside the book. Wouldn't that just be the ultimate in bibliomania?

And you can open up your own bricks-and-mortar store ("Patricia's Book") to sell the sole published copy to yourself. And, of course, give yourself a glowing review at Popmatters!
