Meet Me On The Danforth
I always thought The Danforth Review concerned itself with just grown-up literary folk. So imagine my surprise and glee when the charming Nathaniel G. Moore asked to interview me and talk about 13 Ghosts of Halloween! You can read the interview here.
And if you're getting sick of all these interviews, don't worry...Halloween is almost over! Of course, then I'll be talking about my next book, hee hee...
Have you actually written/completed your new book? There's no release date on the amazon page. When is it due to be released?
Looks good, and am sure the pictures will be well worth waiting for.
Thank for your comment on my post today. I'm not sure I want to work in Mississauga - I dont live out that way like you do.
I'm not too fussed on working for the public library system any more. I may end up working for a corporate or business library. That's fine with me.

That's odd, Historia, I'm pretty sure it used to list when the book was to come out. Anyway, I've been told it will be available January 2008.
Good idea to choose a special library – they pay waaaaaay better!

We like reading your interviews, you successful illstrator! It's very nice of you to keep us from missing any!
And as for public vs. special libraries, in library school a guest speaker told us special libraries were far superior because you "didn't have to deal with the dregs of society" there. Which comment nearly caused a socialist uprising... :)

Thanks, Melanie.
And I shouldn't have down-graded public libraries so quickly – but it's true that more often than not, special libraries DO pay better. I find the kind of people who work in the public library system tend to be much more bookish, and community-oriented.
That comment about "the dregs of society" is shocking. Would have loved to have witnessed the reaction!

I will never be sick of reading an interview about you!
Well done.

Me neither. I'm just thrilled that I personally know a real Canadian AUTHOR!!!. Three actually if you count Kate (Kate's Blog) and Deanna (My Tragic Right Hip). LOL

I agree with you though - if you want decent pay go into special libraries!

Thanks, Historia, but I wouldn't quite call myself an 'author' yet...yes, I wrote my upcoming cartoon book, but they are just very short, cute phrases...certainly no magnum opus!
