I'm thrilled to bits that a certain special gal brought to my attention last week that 13 Ghosts of Halloween has been picked as one of The Canadian Children's Book Centre's Best Books for Kids & Teens 2008! Woo-hoo! Big congrats must also go out to Jeremy Tankard and his Grumpy Bird, Colin Frizzell's Just J, Kate Sutherland's All In Together Girls (Hey! A YA crossover! Way to go, Kate!), Bev Katz Rosenbaum's Beyond Cool, and Liam O'Donnell's Wild Ride, not to mention all his Max Finder books! I'm honoured and thrilled that all these very talented folks are my friends and colleagues. Way to go, guys!
Also...last night I was briefly on TV. No, not CBC or CTV or TVO...but I was on the Cantonese edition of OMNI News! Woo-hoo! Yesterday I was presenting at the S. Walter Stewart Library in East York (what a stunning library!) and the OMNI News folk came by to interview me and film a little bit of my presentation, as well as interview some of the kids.

They asked me some pretty serious questions about cartooning, education, reading and computers, so that's why I look so freakin' serious.
