Pirate & Penguin Book Giveaway!!

 
Of course I was gonna do a book giveaway for my baby! How could I not? Ok, here's the deal. Very simple. All you have to do is comment on this post. BUT – in your comment you MUST tell me whether or not you are voting for Pirate (hates the hot sun, not fond of traveling, loves peace and quiet and is partial to yoga) or Penguin (hates the cold, loves traveling and adventure, finds yoga boring!). You can even give me a detailed reason for your answer, or a totally silly nonsensical reason would be good, too!

The contest will run until the end of Thursday November 5th. On Friday November 6th in the morning, I will write down all the names on this blog post, put them in my magic coffee tin, shake 'em up, and pull out three lucky names! Those three names will get a signed copy of my book, plus a luverly bookmark! Woo-hoo!

So come on and vote – Pirate or Penguin? Let the fun begin!!

I love heat and traveling (traveling somewhere hot? Even better!) so I guess I'm voting Penguin. Although I love yoga. Especially hot yoga. Maybe Penguin could be persuaded to give that a try?

Penguin sounds more like me, except the yoga part. Yoga can be fun, too. I still vote for penguins everywhere. Your book looks interesting and who can resist penguins and pirates together. Not to mention the alliteration. If I am lucky enough to win the signed book, it will be placed in a posted auction for Midland Need to Read at our Family Literacy Style Show in Midland, Texas. This is our main fundraiser and is attended by over 400 people in the community.

I vote Penguin. Who cannot love the little naughty looking Penguin in the picture above? He does look as though he has many more thoughts up his sleeve. Like knocking the nasty Pirate off the raft -or whatever it is, and hijacking his ship off and whoooshing off the edge of the world. The guy sure is adventure-loving!

This is most hated: to choose between two of my favorite things! Seriously. I celebrate Talk Like A Pirate day by passes out pirate patches to my students...*and* my classroom is decorated in penguins.
