Hey there! Are you free tomorrow morning? Then why not pop by the Gladstone, and experience the Tot Studio's Fantastic Journey Day! The event starts at 10:00am (doors open at 9:30am) and my husband Guy and I will be performing The Pirate and the Penguin play! Our performance begins at about 11:00am. What better way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, do ya think? Oh, and the wonderful folks over at Torontoist recently did a Q&A with me, if yer interested.
Here's all the info for tomorrow's event:
Wednesday, March 17, 2010 - 10:00am
The Small Print Tot Studio Presents: A March Break Art Adventure with Laurel Crouza, Matt James & Patricia Storms. There will also be an appearance by kids-folk sensation, Bellwoods Trinity.
Is anywhere on earth more exotic than the places we imagine? To celebrate March Break, the 2-to-8 set will take a fantastic creative journey along with some of the city's leading children's artists. In I Know Here (Groundwood Books), Matt James' stunning visual art compliments Laurel Croza's poignant tale about a young girl whose family prepares to move from the wilds of northeastern Saskatchewan to a strange new place called ‘Toronto'. James and Crouza will guide the group in a dynamic craft and mapping activity. Noted illustrator and author Patricia Storms will perform a play with her husband based on her delightful new book, The Pirate And The Penguin (Owl Kids), featuring full body costumes and everything! Storms will then lead a group drawing exercise based on her characters' remarkable adventures.
Doors open at 9:30AM
Price: $8 Adults / Kids $5 / Non-Walkers Free
