I Heart the Candian Toy Testing Council

In 2009 I got the lovely news that the French edition of 13 Ghosts of Halloween had been chosen as one the the Great Books for 2009 by the Canadian Toy Testing Council. Well, it looks like the CTTC has a fondness for things piratey and penguiny, because, yes The Pirate and the Penguin has been named one of the top 10 Great Books for Children for 2011! Hoopdeedoo!! And it's always nice to give a shout-out to one's talented friends – my fabulous talented pal Helaine Becker is also on that list for her stupendous book What's The Big Idea? Inventions that Changed Life on Earth Forever. Congrats, Helaine!

Ok, enough basking. I gotta get back to work. But before I go, just one more thing...
