I used to work in watercolour a lot more when I was younger. I think I did it a lot more back then because I had no preconceived notions, and I was a heck of a lot less insecure about working in any traditional art form. But you know what? Even though I have had no formal training, and I really don't know what the heck I am doing, I love working in watercolour. And I want to get better. So with that in mind, I've created a new category, I Wanna Watercolour, where I will show off my watercolour stuff.
The drawing you see above is my first attempt at watercolour in probably at least a couple of years. Meet Ralphie the Robin. Ralphie is struggling with various issues (hey, aren't we all). Hopefully life will get better for Ralphie, and hopefully I'll get better at watercolour.
His fedora says, "I might have issues, but I have style, too." I hope he works through whatever's bothering him. I recently bought a little travel water color set and although I have no idea how to use it, I get it out all the time and wash it around on paper and enjoy the way it seems kind of forgiving -- no matter what I do, it still looks lovely in some way.
